World Stroke Day is observed on October 29 every year. It was started by the World Stroke Organization in 2006 and is aimed to raise the global awareness and action in the struggle against this disease.
As part of this event, a volunteer action “Stroke prevention” was organized in our community. It was conducted by leading doctors of the neurological department for patients with acute cerebral circulation disorders of the Kazan Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center. Everyone who attended the medical lecture, got a health passport indicating the height, weight and blood pressure. In addition, there were given individual recommendations and there was held a lecture on the problem of stroke, preventive measures, and the importance of proper and prompt primary care.
